Hello! I am Jodie...an adventure seeking, outdoor loving, young at heart celebrant based in Wanaka, New Zealand.
I have been obsessed with writing and public speaking since I was a child (way back then I dreamt of becoming the next Judy Bailey). However, three years at university and a Communications degree later, I realised 'daily news' wasn't for me. All wasn't lost though, as while I was studying I found a love of radio and public speaking.
I went on to become a copy writer for a local radio station, before embarking on a two year stint as a European Tour Guide. Once back in New Zealand I continued my career in radio until 2014, at which point I decided to shift my focus to work in the charity sector.
In 2015 my husband and I were visiting Wanaka for a wedding when we absolutely fell in love with the life here.
Within weeks of being back in Auckland, we decided to hand in our notice, sold nearly everything we owned and made the 3day drive to relocate to the South Island to follow our dream lifestyle. By January 2016, Central Otago had firmly become our home. Everyone thought we were crazy, but we knew in our hearts we had made the right decision and we have not looked back since.
I pride myself on always going above and beyond to understand you and the vibe you want for your ceremony. After years of practice I have asking the right questions down to a fine art so I can ensure every ceremony I deliver is100% personalised. As a result of my approach, couples, guests, families and friends often comment that my ceremonies feel like they are being led by a good friend.
I look forward to helping you create a beautiful ceremony.
